how to removing startup items on MSCONFIG

i want to know how do i remove some of my startup prorgams on my startup tab in MSconfig in windows98.

You go into the registry and delete them. At least that's what I do. Run regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

And delete the entries you don't want.

go to run,type msconfig.Then the box appears there go to startup tab and uncheck the ones you don't want at startup and click apply you need to reebot.This is the process of windows XP hope it works on win98 too.

If you don't like editing the registry, Crap Cleaner will remove these entries as well (under Tools -> Startup).
