How to retrieve data from old Windows 95 machine?

I want to retrieve some files off an old computer running Windows 95. There are limitations to conventional means of transferring files. The CD drive is read-only, the 3 1/2" floppy drive works only part of the time and there is NO USB support since this is an early version of Win95. Some of the files I want are larger than what will fit on a floppy disk. Is there an adapter or some kind of inexpensive rig that will allow me to bench mount the hard drive and use USB or other means to transfer? I'd rather not haul the machine into a computer store and pay to get these files off.

Here are 3 free ways which you can use:

-NTFS4DOS which you can boot from the CD and you will need the DOS file called "XXCOPY16.EXE" in order to be able to copy all of your files (I do not recommend this since its slower and harder way and its inside of the DOS environment so if you dont know some DOS forget about this)...

-Disk internals NTFS reader version 2.1 + the missing needed file called "GDIPLUS.DLL" (this is pretty easy way.Just put 2 computers into a home network and with that software just copy the files you want.Note that you need to install this software on the Windows 95 computer so if that computer doesnt work well,forget about this)...

-Linux Ubuntu 9.04 OS which you can boot from the CD or the USB stick (this is the best,the most fast and the easiest way to copy ANY of your data.I fully recommend you this way)!
