How to select a specified part of a document?

Hi everybody, I know that 'Edit -> Select all' selects the entire contents of a document, but I need to select a certain portion and not the whole thing. I can't highlight it manually as even that amount is massive and it would take quite a few minutes to let the pages scroll down as it highlights everything that way, is there any way to specify how many lines or how many pages you would like to select?

Thanks for your kind help in advance.

Usually not. You can highlight lines at a time and print, you just can't highlight lines, then skip some and then go back to highlighting again. If thats the case then you will have to copy and paste the highlights into word, wordpad, notepad in order to print all the highlighted test.

Hi John,

Thanks, but I don't need to highlight a portion then highlight another portion, the problem I have is that the document is many thousands of pages long but I don't want to select and copy the whole thing as it would be too much data to manage. If I wanted to copy roughly the first half of the document then using my mouse to do it manually would take a very long time, is there any command I can enter to specify how much of the document I want to highlight?
