i have a tp-link archer C3200 and i have my desktop pretty far from it so it dosent get mutch bandwith. I want to set the computer to high priority so that maybe it gets better speeds but tp-link router settings are too confusing for me to use. I found "bandwidth control" and it asks for upstream and downstream (i dont know what that is) and controlling rules.

I doubt changing the priority will give you better speeds. If you are using wireless, you need to either get closer to the router or run ethernet cable to desktop.

How fast is your internet speed supposed to be? What speed do you get on your desktop? Look at your signal strength, how many bars are you getting?

i get around 20-40 mbps but i cant do mutch simple tasks with this speed. all bars are showing. Last night, i was getting great speeds without any problems, probably because not many people were using wifi.

Are you connected to the TP-Link through 2.4Ghz or one of the two 5.0Ghz bands?

What sort of wifi adapter are you using?
