I'm sure there is a similar thread somewhere maybe you could point me in the right direction.

My network crashed earlier today. It is now up and running but I am not sure how to set a password for my network. My network security is wpa2 and I am on a Mac running OS X 10.6.5

thanks for the help.

Are you talking about the router password or the security password for the wireless?

Do you already have the wpa2 security key? Like i said, i really don't understand the question. If the wpa2 is already setup, then thats the password.

Well if I look at available networks it says that mine is not secured. What do I do so that it is secured?

Then the wpa2 is not setup correctly. What router do you have? Do you know how to access the routers configuration page?

Its the key that you setup that will allow all users full access to your network, shared files, and printers.

Well, windows 7 has a network password when you first install it. Well, you are saying your network is saying its unsecured, so you definately need to set up the wpa2 correctly.
