How to set RAID?

Ok so I have a thread on making a file storage computer for my dad. I'm going to get two 320GB harddrive and put them in RAID 1. My question is, how do I get them to run in RAID 1? If the motherboard supports RAID, how should I set it up? I'm a noob at RAID :o
 
Sometimes the m/b may come with software you can control the raid setup with from within windows. Even so, you usually have to enable raid and setup you disk in the bios.
 
What's wrong with lynx's answer? You have to configure the ports as RAID in the BIOS then enter RAID setup and follow the steps. They are specific to the controller so look it up in the manual or let us know what board you have.
