How to set up a wireless access point

Hi,

How do i set up my linksys wireless router/modem as a wireless access point to my existing network?

what do you mean by your existing network? do you have a hub, router? if so, which model

Wireless ADSL modem is a TW-EA510v3. Need to use my linksys WAG54G as wireless access point. Reason for this is my point card machine needs a physical line to the net and telewell adsl is far away.

I wonder if anyone understood what i meant ???

what ports has the modem got on the back?

Both have 4 ethernet ports

connecting them with a network cable would be a good start then. then connect to the wireless access point using your pc, find out the IP address and connect to it, then you can configure it.

You will want to turn certain features of your linksys router off, mainly DHCP server functions. So, the ADSL modem is a combo device so it is also a router?
