How to setup memory?

Hey,

My computer is recognizing my memory only as 800mhz.
I have this 1066mhz memory. Does anyone what settings
I should manually change in BIOS?

I have Asus P5QL motherboard - which supports 1066mhz
memory.

Muuuch appreciated,

Marcin.

I can't seem to get the manual from the Asus site, it is saying that all download sites are too busy.

Basically, just look around in the menus in the BIOS until you find the RAM speed setting. It should be in a fairly obvious place like in the overclocking menu.

What about voltage - should I set that to 2.1V or 2.2V,
or will it change automatically once I change the
frequency?

I changed just RAM Frequency to 1066, and left everything else on Auto.
When Windows loaded, I had blue screen of death every time.

So then I changed Memory Voltage to 2.20, and I was still getting blue
screen
.

Then I changed RAM timing to 5/5/5/18, and it was still giving me a blue
screen
.

Anyone know what I'm messing up?

When you are manually setting the timings are you sure you are setting the correct ones? A lot of motherboards will give you a lot of setable timings but setting the wrong ones too low will give you bluescreens or wont work at all.

Hi,

I still haven't been able to set my RAM to run at 1066mhz. I was
wondering if someone could assist me on this matter.

I have pulled pages from the ASUS P5QL motherboard manual
to show all the BIOS settings for the RAM.

So, my RAM settings should be: CAS 5, TRCD 5, TRP 5, TRAS 18,
2.1-2.2V, and 1066mhz.

What do you think I should change?

You help on this matter is much appreciated.

Thank you,
