How to slot a CPU onto t amotherboard

Can i ask a stipud question, how can i slot the P4 and Celeron CPU onto the motherboard, and how to stick the fan on the CPU (e.g. do i need some glue or what?)

If possible, please provide more details, such as picture. many thanks

It's very simple and no glue is required. You may (depending on whether or not some sort of a paste/pad is supplied with the HSF (Heat sink fan)) need some thermal paste. The following picture is an example of what your HSF could look like :

you put the cpu in the socket, pull the little lever down to secure it. Put some thermal paste on the cpu and then put the heat sink over it. If you have a Celeron D 478 like I do, there should be three peices of metalic braces you need to hook up above the heat sink that provides screw holes for the fan. Then you screw the fan onto the brace with four screws.
