On my Toshiba Satellite, I yanked out the DVD and put a DVD caddy with a 1TB hard drive to increase my storage capacity on top of the SSD on my C drive.

When my D drive goes to sleep, it create problem with one of my video editing software (Premiere Pro) which reference to the D drive for all my video clips.

Is there any way to tell the computer not the put D to sleep?

On the advance setting, I set the hard drive never go to sleep. But it still does. Would that be because it is on a dvd caddy, but not directly as a hard drive?

Shouldn't matter so long as it is detected as a hard drive.

Are you editing the wrong power profile maybe?
