How to track IE history

Our son is 26 and living back home.
He is telling us he can't find a job or there are no jobs out there.
Now is he even looking?
He is home all day on his computer all day.

I would like to know if he is looking for a job like he says he is or not.

Is there a way I can check into his IE history from my laptop to find out?

I have a D-link DIR-655 router and read that you can put a firmware on it called 'Securespot' but it has been discontinued.

Does anyone know of another way to do this without him knowing so we can see if he is lying to us or not?

Thanks,
Debbie

I don't think you can without physically looking up the history on his own computer. For you to access his system, he would have to enable sharing and I doubt that its enabled.

If you do have access to the machine, there is a tool called IE History Viewer, which can access the hidden history.

You might be better off just having him hand you copies of the resumes and job listings where he applied.

Of course, applying is only the half-way mark-- one still has to interview, and if he doesn't want to work, then he simply won't interview well...

I understand your pain, my own eldest son was occupying my living room for a good year and a half with little prospect of him getting a job; meanwhile, one of his friends (with the same education) was holding down two jobs and being actively recruited for others.
