How to update bios to enable cpu to work?

Hello all, I have one more question before I place my order for my new pc..

I am getting this board:

and the Phenom II X3 720 cpu,.. The website for the mobo says it supports the AM3 socket when you update the bios. I am a little unexperienced in this department so...

how do I update the bios before putting the cpu in?

You can't. You need to have a cpu that the board already supports to upgrade the bios and then put the new cpu in. Can you borrow a cpu from a friend just to upgrade the bios?

Are you getting it through an online retailer? A lot of the time they can update the BIOS for you when you request it. If they charge for this service it is usually only a couple bucks and well worth it for the hassle it saves.
