How to upgrade hard drive and RAM on new computer?

after having read all your posts i think that you really should get someone more computer literate to help you install your ssd and clone your hdd to it.not meaning any offense at all,but,have you ever seen the quote "discretion is the better part of valor"?

So any idea why the computer isn't recognizing my new SSD?

It's because the SSD was unformatted and you had to use disk management. However, the cloning software would have worked fine without the SSD being formatted.
