How to use 2nd SATA2 HD as storage?

I just bought two Seagate SATA 2 HD's and wanted to use one for the operating system and use the second for storage. I had no problems using 2 regular IDE drives like this (the second drive would just show up as "E:" or whatever) but it doesn't seem to want to work with these new drives. I noticed there is no jumpers on the drive to change it to slave either. So, I'm wondering how to make this 2nd drive show up for me to use? I get the whole "found new hardware" message and all that but I can't phsically see the drive in "My Computer". Any help would be greatly appreciated!

did you install the drivers for the harddrive? You need to do that first, then it'll show up in my computers.

you also need to enable the SATA1 port in bios. SATA0 is your main drive.

You'll also need to create a partition on the drive before it will show up in My Computer. Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management. Does the second drive appear there? If so, create a partition on it and it should be viewable in My Computer.
