To all,

I have some WMV files on my PC. I used a trial version ConverterX to DVD 3 software and converted the WMV files. Then I burned all these files to a DVD. I still can not play this DVD to my DVD player which is copatiable for DVD, VCD and CD?

Could some one please advise if I missing any tip or technique here or any other way to view WMV files to a DVD player

Thanks in advance for your assistance

Hello,

What burning software are you using? You should be burning the files a DVD-VIDEO, you may just be burning them as data. Once you select DVD-VIDEO, you should either see a VIDEO_TS folder or be able to drag n drop the .vob files into the interface.
If you've got the vob files but nothing else then get Ifoedit (free download) & this will create the ifo/bup files for you. http://www.videohelp.com/tools/IfoEdit

Typically this is what you should have in the Video_ts folder:-
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB

If you don't have this combination nothing will work.

Good luck

Also, some DVD players only play DVD+R or DVD-R, and some don't play burned DVDs at all. Many that do play burned DVDs can play WMVs or AVIs that have been burned to a disk as data.
