How to watch You Tube Videos on my Television.

My grandson showed me how to watch You tube videos from my iphone onto my television.

However if I want to watch a video using my laptop it does not give me the ability to transfer it that way.

Can someone please advise ?

Providing you can connect your television to your router you can use something like Chromecast.

You will need to have a smart television to do this.

Otherwise you can use a HDMI lead from your computer to your television providing you have HDMI capabilities on your laptop and your TV.

I use Chromecast but there are other devicesavailable.

Thank you for you prompt reply, however Im old and disabled so doing all this would be too complicated for me. How is it I can do this wirelessly using my iphone but not from my laptop ?

Does your tv have the smartcast option? I can cast from my phone to my tv because of it. So you want to cast videos from laptop to TV? Getting a chromecast would work, would need to use chrome web browser though. Or you would need to use the hdmi output of the laptop and connect to tv that way. Would need more information on how you casting from phone to tv first.
