i have asked about this b4.... and heard people say even if i can let my TV as a computer monitor the quality picture will not be go0d and blurr....

my family says they still want to do it..... and must!

so can anyone tell me and link me all the supplies i need to be able to use our RCA TV as a monitor?

You will need a S-Video Cable. What Graphics Card Do you have??

Tv's dont have the resolution of a Monitor but they are still usable and will work perfectly fine.

Just About every TV made after 1970 have S-Video Imputs, You know how u have the Yellow, White And Red imputs on your TV?

Yellow = S-Video
White = Left Audio
Red = Right Audio

You only need the Yellow input on TV

Actually.. your wrong :D thats Analog video with an RCA connector

S-Video is a 4 or 7 pin connector for high definition TVs

actually, bnc, svhs, component and rgb are all analog

and seperate video cables can still only transmit 480i video, same as standard bnc cable, their only advantage is the lack of dot crawl that you'll see with a bnc

umm im not sure if they have the s input or not... but if they dont have it theres a connector for sale right?

card is x850xt and x700pro pci e

Viewing windows on a standard tv will look pretty poor. The resolution is limited to 680 x 420 or something similar, and on a big screen tv will look very bad.

i have my pc connected to my big screen, and while text is a little hard to read, it works great for gaming, picture and video viewing, etc. the image quality is not that bad.

if you don't have the imputs you need on your tv, you can use a vcr or dvd player as sort of a router.

Wow, thats completely wrong. The yellow is the RCA video input, S-Video resembled a PS/2 port on a computer, but black.

Unless you have an HD TV, text is going to be pretty much unreadable on a TV, unless you use huge font.

Yea, viewing windows is really bad on a regular tv, but if you want to watch a movie or play a game, they work pretty good.

it will most likely include a DVI cavle. if i remember correctly mine came with a dvi and a s-video cable. if not they should be less than 10 bucks
