How will this run the latest games?

Before you say it, I know this systems Graphics Card will be bottlenecked by the other hardware, but i'm on a tight budget and will probably be getting a new proccessor in a few months.

Anyway here it is:

Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 (2.0GHz)
ASUS P5S-MX SE Motherboard
GeForce 9800GT 512mb
2GB Corsair 5300 DDR2 RAM
Hiper 580W M Series PSU

I'm on a tight budget at the moment and I thought the graphics card would be best to go for so I can play the latest games atleast reasonably well. The processor will be next, anyway... How do you guys think it will play games like Call Of Duty 4, it's pretty weak with my 8500GT, around 35fps on low-medium settings and only 1024x768 res.

1280x1024 with full eye candy be ok you think? Also how do you think Crysis and Unreal 3 might run on it etc. :)

It won't run Crysis maxed, but you'll be able to run medium-high settings and those will still look great in Crysis. UT3 should run maxed and you'll get a good steady FPS that's playable.

Can you link to that PSU, it sounds cheap..

You've gotta be kidding me. My old Radeon X700 Pro could max COD4 at 1280x1024, the 8500GT must really suck, lol.

Yeah, you could max COD4. Probably Max Unreal 4, Crysis probably at medium to high settings.

BS. Ive got an x800 and it runs it on medium at 1024x768

i dont think that PSU will run the 9800?

20a? doesnt a single 8800 require like 24a? and the 9800 is basically two.
 
the PSU has 38A total, plus only the 9800GX2 or whatever is two 8800GT's, the 9800GT is a more futureproof version of the 8800GT which can overclock higher and stuff. Oh and they are cheaper than 8800GT's, so why not?

If you want to try find better from a UK site you can, but i'm pretty sure i've looked through most and £83 from a half decent brand is the cheapest I found.

my AMD 3400 and X800GTO flashed to XT could run it at medium at 1024/768 tops lol. you must have had a super card.
