How would I minimize certain programs?

theres this one game i play and i cant just press the windows logo botton then the desktop will show. i cant do ALT+Tab to switch to a diff program.
There is one way wich i press WinLogo+Tab but then all the shorcuts become active or sumtin, like if i press "R" run comes up, or if i press "F" find comes up. well id really appriciate it if anyone has any ideas.

ctrl+alt+del always works for me. brings up the task manager

try the "windows key" and "M"
that should minimize all open windows

or "windows key" and "D" does the same thing

CTRL+ALT+DEL works but it disconnects me from the server/game, the Win+M and Win+D doesnt work either, any other suggestions? maybe either a program that i can press certain hotkeys to open the program so it minimizes the game.
