Not a good unit whatsoever. Where are you located, how much do you intend on paying, and what sorta specs are you planning on running?
 
dual fan and 700 watts dont mean anything unles its a reliable brand which coolmax isnt
antec,corsair,seasonic are some reliable known brands

Not Rosewill. I am still lost as to how they got an ok rep because their units are crap compared to the better ones.

The wattage advertised on lesser-known brands is usually far less than the average output of the unit. Many people will tell you this, but the PSU, not the CPU, is the true heart of your computer. A dodgy PSU can mean all your other system components get fried:D
 
No point in going for a 850W PSU.
Nowadays you can SLI/Crossfire any card at 750W max only
Most of the ATI cards at 650W

Rosewill has never had an ok rep, there are about 3 rosewill units that are even slightly decent, and those are some of their more expensive units build by somewhat reputable manufacturers, and even then, i would highly suggest staying away from them.

I would agree with Aastii I have seen a lot of people on the forums who think that rosewill PSUs are of really good quality and also Value for money.

Many a times I have had to mention rosewill as a bad quality PSU on several threads
 
I have to add to the Rosewill thing...

I mean, who names a computer component/electronics company Rosewill? First time I saw that on newegg was "Well, that beats the brand Sparkle." :D

there are a hell of alot of people, that are apparently computer savvy, that think that rosewill units are "good", when they clearly aren't. You look at the ones which do have a deservadly bad rep, and nobody thinks they are good units at all, yet rosewill has its followers :confused:
 
ive used the, here and there, had some good ones, hell i have a 3 year old 550W that worked pretty good until i outgrew it, but then i got a 600W version that was noisy as all get out, i dont trust the higher end ones to be totally honest, and they can be rebrandings of the major manufacturers, just have to know what model you are looking at...rosewill is neweggs in house brand, their product is often a rebranding of someone elses product

My mum, sister and step dad all have pre built systems, my mum's I took apart a couple months back to clean, and it has a 230W cheap ass PSU in there. It powers it and is adequate, that doesn't make it good.

What you said about rebranding is true, but why does that make them bad? The vast majority of the better units are made by other companies such as seasonic or CWT, both are great manufacturers of power supplies, which is why your Antec, Corsair, XFX etc are so good. they do make some cheaper, bad units, but the decent brands don't tend to get them, with the exception of some of the Antec, Thermaltake, Be Quiet! etc lines.

You can say Rosewill are good units, but it is just words. Look at actual figures, you will find lower efficiency (therefore more heat and sound produced), faster degredation, less stable power and either lack of, or not very good OVP, UVP etc
 
Most Rosewill are made by ATNG. Some others are by Solytech/Wintech/Youngyear. That was at one time. Who knows now. They are a newegg house brand. Just like Ultra is a Tigerdirect house brand. Both just go to the cheapest bidder. Would not fool with them myself. If you shop around you can find a better quality unit close to the same price.

Yea i honestly wouldnt trust em, tho a few years back i did really like my 500W by them, thing was built like a tank, even had a rheo on the back to turn down fan speed...i go with corsair no matter what now, but still both supplies ran fine, and still do so that 600W however sounded like a freaking cricket whenever you plugged the damn thing in...was awful, was the last supply i will buy from rosewill, at least i was able to rma the thing and get my money back
