How do you share your ram with the vidio card,

what do i need, (software, hardware)

will it mean i can increase the resolution

what would the benefits be.

Absolutely no increase in performance. System RAM is much slower than VRAM.

Is your video card integrated? If not, there is no way to "share" system RAM with it. You need an integrated video card.

The funny thing is that integrated video cards generally lack performance and are not desirable. You'll get much better performance out of a dedicated video card as long as it's not archaic.

well there's the turbo cache cards, where the video card uses system memory, but i dono how you can adjust it.

Unless he has integrated video or a video card with Turbocache/hypermemory, you cant share system memory with it. If you did, it would significantly lower the performance due to the fact that system memory is much slower than current video card's graphics memory.

no its an agp card, and the Aperture size is at 256, the maximum,

oh well ill have to make do.
