How?

How do you share your ram with the vidio card,

what do i need, (software, hardware)

will it mean i can increase the resolution

what would the benefits be.

Is your video card integrated? If not, there is no way to "share" system RAM with it. You need an integrated video card.

The funny thing is that integrated video cards generally lack performance and are not desirable. You'll get much better performance out of a dedicated video card as long as it's not archaic.

Hmm, just googled those. Never heard of them before. Seems like a perfect solution for those who can't spend over $100.

What about the AGP Aperture size? It defines the amount of memory that can be given to the GPU from the computer's RAM.

Unless he has integrated video or a video card with Turbocache/hypermemory, you cant share system memory with it. If you did, it would significantly lower the performance due to the fact that system memory is much slower than current video card's graphics memory.
