i didn't go for the top of the line stuff, just the parts that i knew would run what i want to do. I play BF2 alot and on my current crapy computer get about 30FPS on all low settings. So this is what i went with:

New Build!

MB - Asus A8n-SLI Premium

Case - Cooler Master Centurion 5

Video Cards - 6800GS x2

Processor - AMD Athlon 64 3200+

RAM - Corsair Valueselect 2GB

Have a 160GB HD 7500RPM SATA
and also a 500watt PS

How does all this look ?

It looks good, Now IMO dump the 2 video cards and get either the 7800GTX or 7900, I just dont see the justification of running dual vid cards, benchmarks mean nothing to me, what your eyes see is what counts.

So dump the SLI board and 2 vid cards and spend the extra money on more Processor and better ram IMO.

^Agreed

Definately go with a single, better card. This is a cheaper option at only minimal performance loss, if any. (depends on the cards you are choosing) If you still have an SLI board then you can upgrade in the future to either a better card or get another of the same. You will have more options, and depending on the technology at the time you may want to do something that your current set up would only allow you to do at a high cost.

i think i am going to switch the video card to the 7900, i can allways grab another one of those in the future, as for the MB i had a friend who had a DFI and we tried and tried to get it to work one night and it was just to hard. THats why im going with the ASUS. and the SLI i allways want that there just incase. but ya im def gonnna go for the 7900.

thanks!

Ok, thats PSU should be fine. If I were you I would spend a little less on the RAM and video card and invest in an X2 3800+, but its up to you.

Also IMHO opinion SLI is a waste, because by the time you want to go SLi there is a cheaper card that outperforms it, so you could save some money on the motherboard, but once again your choice.

like i said im going from a really crapy computer, that i try my hardest to game from, i want the duel core, i just dont need it yet :) trust me thats prob. been the hardest part of this entire process!:)

One thing to consider, I'm not sure if you have yet, about the dual core is that it will be so much better than the 3700 in just a few months with the new software that will utilize X2 technology. It is your call though, I personally did make that extra step and sacrificed a GB of ram in my build for it. (Still haven't purchased it yet however.)

Well you editied it but you still have x2 6800GS which is something you need to change. Take the left over money and put it towards your CPU.
