HP a1310n problem

Some pre-built PC cases are built in such a fashion that only the original mobo can be used with them, some are not. I'm kind of fuzzy on the details behind this, so don't take my word too strongly, but anything store bought does seem to have a tendency to severely limit your ability to do anything custom with the computer.

Hmm. I hope it will be easy to find something that fits. There are a few stock mobos on e-bay, but if I could find something better/faster for the same amount, that would be superb. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thnaks again, everyone!

Well, this is a bit of an old post. I finally found the time to work on this thing. I ordered a good used stock mobo off of E-bay and put it in tonight. Turned the computer on and still nada. The fans kick into high gear, and I have no video. I thought maybe it was the hard drive, so I took out the HD from my desktop and hooked it up to the other PC and no luck. I'm kind of out of ideas now. Could the processor be fried? Memory sticks chooched, maybe? I have no idea. Any thoughts?

Thanks.
