hp blue invent screen.

You can try, but i bet when you reconnect your hard drive it won't boot up again. Hard drives go out at any time, they are a mechanical device. Hook it back up and see what happens. But I bet your hard drive is toast.

ok i plugged it back in and i have the same problems as before.. stuck at teh blue screen wont let me enter any menus. do you think by formatting the hard drive would fix the problem? is there any way to save the data?

You can't format the drive or back up data if it won't let you boot to it. The only thing you can try doing is putting it in another machine and see if it will let you access it that way. If your not computer savvy, I suggest you take it in to have someone look at it for you.

are you serious? there is no way i can access the information on the drive? i have something that needs to be done for tomorrow that will cost me money... i dont have money to fix it or buy a new one.. i only have a laptop other then the actual hp elite... and an external hard drive.. is there anything i can do?

A hard drive data recovery company might be able to at a substantial cost. Like I said, take the drive to a computer shop and see if they can access it.

the computer is 13 months old... why would the hard drive go? i think its just full... there is no way for me to connect the hard drive to my external?

The hard drive would still work if it was full. It sounds like you aren't computer savvy to follow my advice. It doesn't matter how old the drive is, it can go out the day you get it or whenever, i've already told you that. I've been troubleshooting computers for almost 15 years now. Take the drive in to a computer shop.

im very computer savy. any advice i would follow!

Your not getting what i'm trying to tell you. If your computer freezes up with it hooked up, it's gonna do the same thing when you buy a new hard drive, install windows and then connect the old hard drive back up to copy data. It's gonna freeze most likely. You need to take the drive to a computer shop so they can tell you if data can be retrieved from it.
