Hp COMPUTER QUESTION

I just bought a desktop model m7570n with a 21" monitor. when restating my computer on the blue "Welcome" window I notice a circle light " a patch" on the left top of the screen, when the desktop screen opens I don't see the white spot. first I thought that was my monitor so I connected my monitor with another computer and there was no white Spot. I connected the hp computer with another monitor the spot present at the same corner. I called the Hp, and they asked me to ship the computer to them for repair. they sent it back to me and they claimed that "the white circles you are seeing are supposed to be there they are part
of windows (the later releases of it anyway)", is that true?. so they shipped the computer back to me with the spot still there. so what do you think, any input will be appreciated.
 
I've never noticed anything like that with my pavilion 505n. I really wouldn't worry about it too much if it's just on the start-up screen.
P.S. - don't waste much time sending it to HP, especially when your warranty runs out. The problem is usually easy enough to fix on you own, and be sure to check it out on computer forum first.
