HP dc5750 SFF

I would be very careful about upgrading this machine as the last official drivers on HP website are only compatible with Vista.

but I'm not sure of which 5000+.

Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 5000+ Processor (2.6-GHz, 2x512K L2 cache, 2000-MHz FSB)

I understand that part but there is a Part number for each Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 5000+ Processor (2.6-GHz, 2x512K L2 cache, 2000-MHz FSB). Here is a list of some part numbers.

ADA5000IAA5CS
ADA5000IAA5CU
ADA5000IAA5CZ
ADO5000IAA5CZ
ADO5000IAA5DD (G1)
ADO5000IAA5DO (G2)
ADO5000IAA5DS (G2)

I got all of those from here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_Athlon_64_microprocessors#Athlon_64_X2 I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. I don't want to buy the wrong one.

I'm not worry about any Microsoft OS because I'm a Linux user that why I got this computer a 80gb has enough room for me. I just wanted to upgrade the memory to 4gb and have a little faster CPU so it could play music and video better. I know Sempron is not the but Athlon is.

If and when I upgrade the bios about long will it take cause I have done it before?

If I use a CD would that be better for me if my XP is running slow?

If I get a bigger HD I might try and install Windows 10 if it will let me.
