I have got HP dv4-1120 us and since few days i have noticed that its fan keeps on running on all the time, obviously when turned on. I think it was not like this earlier, the fan ran sometime and stopped sometime. Do u guys have any idea why is this happening.
It's supposed to run all the time, sometimes slower than usual. Maybe you're just hearing it now, is it really loud now, all the time? Your stock fan might have gone bad
Where is it usually? I find if I put my dads acer on my lap I can hear it, on a desk it is not a problem. Also if you take a few pieces of cardboard and put it under the sides so the laptop is lifted a little bit then the sound goes away because of better airflow
