Hi All, looks like a great forum here. I've done a little browsing but have a very pressing issue here.
I have a HPdv6000 Laptop. It's been a great machine over the past several years, but I seem to have lost my audio.
I use this laptop for video editing, so it's very frustrating.
I have the notorious Red "x" over the speaker icon, and "Sound" is no longer an option in the Device Manager
Also, interestingly, YouTube videos stopped playing properly (error message appears) at the same time the audio went out
I have tried to download all new drivers (conexant), and no luck.
I hear that my next option may be to BAKE my laptop in the oven at 385 degrees for 8 minutes? Thoughts on this?
I honestly have thought and thought about this, and I do not know how to fix. The laptop otherwise operates great.
Ideas?
Thanks!
