help me out, im scratching my head here.....

linux detects the harddrive as 320gb...
however when i put vista on , it only sees approx 100 gigs.
if i try to create another partition in linux, ill get a bsod in vista..

i've tried updating the ata drivers for the intel chipset...

any suggestions? would be appreciated..
thanks,
:confused::mad:

alright, it has to be the drivers... or something with vista ..

ubuntu sees and is able to use the full HDD....
so what am i to do ? i have installed all proper drivers from HP's site (including the little vista package upgrade they had) ... i have also downloaded the intelcpu chipset drivers and have installed them.
i have editted registery to allow for ahci to function.

yet when i boot into vista, i only see 100gig partition and that is it. I dont even see the 220 unallocated partition like i should...

What is your error code? I am sure the following is permissable due to the fact they have a Manage Attachment button.

How to find and post your Minidump Files:

My Computer > C Drive > Windows Folder > Minidump Folder > Minidump Files.

It is these files that we need (not the folder). Attach to your next post the five most recent dumps. Notice the Manage Attachments button at the bottom when you go to post the next time. You can Zip up to five files per Zip; if you only have one or two you don’t need to zip them, just attach as is. Please do us a favor and don’t Zip each one individually.

* Mods, if this is not permissable sorry and chock it up to ignorance. :o
