Hi All I have been looking at this HP Envy 17 and it looks pretty spectacular!!

ww.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/hp-envy-17-1050ea-06487037-pdt.html

Anyone ever used one of these or heard bad things?

Hp computers have been not been rated so hot for build quality and duralbilty over the last three years. This is the facts though, no matter what company you go through the more expensive the laptop the longer it will last. If I remember when I was reading about the Envy it is one of HP high end laptop that is suppose to be the mark of them changing the way they build computers to a higher standered. If I was to buy a HP it would be the Envy.

In my experience HP computers are the best among the brands I owned:
Acer, Samsung, Toshiba, Asus.

I can't say that one brand is better than the other, but I am typing this message on 17 inch HP 8710p and I LOVE it.

Build quality? Rock solid.
Durability? No problems with hardware during three years.

In fact I am pretty much satisfied with its performance even now (T7500@2,2Ghz, 4GB RAM).
The only upgrade I did - installing Momentus XT hybrid drive.
The only accessory I ever needed was replacing the battery.

So.... What's so wrong with HP guys?
I would gladly buy HP Envy Beats Edition if I had money.

Crappy build quality? MSI is the crappiest I've seen. But the cheapest also.

For less money you could get a Toshiba Satellite P500. It may not look as good as the HP but value for money, it's better. I got mine for $1100 before taxes. See the specs in my sig down below. ;)

Thanks All!!

If you buy Acer go with there business class laptop's. They are the only ones built with quality, the other ones suck.
