I have a HP povillion DV1000 Laptop. The hard drive randomly died the other day so I reinstalled windows and nows its working my only problem is from some reason it sees the 100gig hdd as a 78gig hdd. Any ideas?

I got it working now. By it died I mean when it would try to boot up it would say media drive falure but a format does the trick now i just have to save my old data off it.
