I have a HP W19. It is a HP LCD wide screen monitor. The date is was built was June 2006. My problem is the AC Adapter has stopped working, and I haven't been able to find a replacement. Through e-mail and then phone with HP I was told my monitor was so outdated(June 06) I need to replace the whole thing. Still trying to find a replacement for adapter. It is An AC Adapter, TPV Electronics(Fujian) Co.,Model ADPC1260AB, Input 100-240v-1.5A, Output 12Vdc-5.00A. I need to find a universal adapter that will adjust to these specs, or some replacement. The problem i'm having is finding one with the 5.00A, the ones I find are weaker. Any suggestions and ideas welcome.

you are confusing yourself with to many numbers and stuff all you need to buy is an adapter with these specs.

Output 12Vdc-5.00A
these are the ones to watch out for.

it WILL work and it won't blow anything.

the input is how much power it's going to take in from the power source.

but see if you can go to a laptop spares and repairs place. you might be able to pick one up. EBAY or NewEgg are other recommended shops which sell everything.

But go for a charger for another laptop instead of a Universal charger, they can overpower things if they don't have AMP CAPS (a way of limiting power of a surge if you have a power cut. (my friend had to throw his whole stereo away becasue it has no way of stopping the mass of current)
