hp motherboard show no video

my friend try to install a hp pavilion motherboard with intel chipet 810 into a bigger case. but found out the screw doesn't fit the mount on the new case. so he install the MB without the mounting. so the back of the MB touch the the case when he install it. when turn on there is no video. so we take the board out and tried to clear the bios by take the cmos out and reset the jumper on board still no video. but the board seem to respond to the power switch though. is it possible to be made working again?

Yes I must agree with bob on this one if it touched the case then its more then likely shorted its self out and he has him a nice heavy paper wieght now to keep his papers in place.
