Hey guys,

Two weeks ago i bought a new notebook. The HP Pavilion 15-n000 notebook pc serie. The notebook runs Windows 8.1. I've got to say something..Windows 8.1 sucks! It's a touchsmart notebook. And the purchase can be described as an impulse buy. I was wondering, do you guys think i can install Windows 7 on it? I'm afraid it is going to interfere with the fact that it is a touchsmart notebook. Hope you guys can help me out. Thanks in advance.

For starters you should be posting under the operating system section, don't make another thread as I am sure an admin will move this for you. 8.1 is faster and more secure then Windows 7, maybe should just learn to use Windows 8.1, you can set it to boot to traditional desktop, Windows key + S will allow you to search for application, folders and files and if you mess with the customization of Metro you can make it as functional as the start in Windows 7.

If you don't like that answer then I would imagine Windows 7 would install fine though you will need to find the drivers as many of the drivers have been built differently for Windows 8.1 so some compatibility issues may arise when using 8.1 drivers on Windows 7.

Apologies for posting under the wrong section. And many thanks for the answer. This will help me alot. I tried working with Windows 8.1 but I can't work fast and efficient with it. So installing Windows 7 it is.
