No, I didn't try to put Vista or W7 on. I had read some of that. That particular error being associated with installing 1 of those 2 OSs as an upgrade or whatever.
Anyhow, I tried a destructive recovery again late last night and it worked this time. I'm not sure what was different. I'm updating drivers 1 at a time to see if it was a driver issue but I've not seen anything yet. When I get in from work I'll finish it up and post back if I find anything.
