HP Pavilion a1610n NO Display

Ok heres the issue, this desktop machine will power on,, all fans come on except there is no display whatsoever. and no beep sequence what soever.

i'm not familiar with this machine as it is not mine, but here is what i've done.

1. changed power supply,

2, added pci video card(still same problem)

3. removed every peripheral one by one...ram, harddrives, cd rom drives.

only thing it can be at this point is a motherboard??....i see no physical damage or any darkened spots as a short or burn.:confused:
 
As far as the lights go, that could be a problem with the case itself. perhaps a broken wire, or the LED wire is not connected.

Also have you checked to see if the VGA cable to your monitor is good, A broken cable would definately stop the computer from displaying anything.
 
this was tried with my own monitors which work fine on my machine....user has tried two of there monitors on the computer and none work, so i know thats not the issue.

the computer is powering on, so I belive the case is fine as far as connections from button to motherboard is concerened....mobo is a 24pin atx, i tried with a 20pin power supply....when i get home i'm going to take out the power supply in my personal computer which is 24pin and very good supply to see if thats the problem, otherwise i will rule out that and all will point to mobo.

i've also reset the cmos by removing the battery for 5 min.
 
i've tried my power supply from my computer, and it did not work at all...i noticed the pc sometimes dont want to turn on right away and will take about 4 power button pressess to get it on....

i'm thinkin its a motherboard issue.
