I have an HP pavilion dv6000 but its motherboard got burned. We replaced the motherboard but then again it got overheated and burned. I searched through the internet and found that this HP product is faulty and almost everyone who bought this laptop faced same problem. Worst part is there is no solution to this problem or no guarantee if it'll work fine after it's fixed. In some forum I got to know about this laptop something like - "it's a badly designed too-thin connection between the power supply and the motherboard". I am not very knowledgeable about PC issues, so I don't really understand. But from the above line it seems that the problem is inherent.
My question is is it possible to disassemble all the parts of this laptop and use the workable and fine parts to some other HP or different brand laptop? Or the parts other than power supply and motherboard of this product are faulty too? Is there any way I can fix this "too thin connection between power supply and mother board" issue? I really want to know how I can make use of this laptop. Even if it cannot get fixed but is there any way to make any use of it or its different parts like RAM, sound card etc? Also is it possible to transfer different parts of some other laptop to this one and get the inherent problem fixed?
Please anyone who has even slight idea regarding this issue, help me. I'll really appreciate it.
Thank you.
