HP Pavilion zd8000 P4 vs HP pavilion dv7t centrino 2

Ok I have two laptops. One is an older HP pavilion zd 8000 P4, 2.8ghz, 2 gig of ram, win xp, ATI radeon x600 graphics card.

new HP pavilion dv7t Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9600 (2.80GHz), 4 gig ddr2 ram, 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics card, win vista.

I plan on using the new for games, internet and other graphics intensive uses. So did I get an upgrade with the dv7t for christmas?
