HP Photosmart Premium problem

I've had this HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m printer installed for several years. No problems!

All of a sudden, the program startup screen from which I command the printer won't come up. When I try to invoke it, I get a message like:

HP Solution Center cannot run because your device installation is not complete.

I can't scan, or do several other functions.

I also don't have the startup disc. It cracked, and was never replaced.

Any thoughts or ideas regarding online downloads or solutions?
