HP printer configuration

Not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes: I have an HP T65 all-in-one inkjet printer and everytime I change users or start the pc (using win-xp), there is a pop-up that says "Configuration in Process". Is there a way to skip/stop this or is this necessary? It seems to be running connection tests and the like. I would have to change users to be exactly sure what it is saying. Any ideas?

Try uninstalling the printer from all your users. Then re-install the printer on your administrator account and make sure that when it prompts, you install it and save the settings for all users on the computer. This should eliminate the problem (the drivers/settings probably just got a little confused).
