HP reinstall Disks?

I recently got an HP computer off of eBay with a Vista Business edition key. My question is, are all HP recovery disks compatable? Could I just buy a Business 32-bit HP restore disk off of eBay and it will work with the computer, or are HP's disks computer specific?

John is right.

There are many different HP computers/laptops and EACH one of them has different hardware and EACH hardware needs it's OWN driver which are of course different from others.

The best thing you can do is to take a look at your HP computer's full name (numbers and other signs) which are usually written on a stick attached to a computer/laptop and according to that find the correct drivers and then install them after you have installed an OS.

Why do you need the disks? If you are re-installing Windows, you can check and see if there is a recovery partition already on the computer. That will usually install the drivers you need as well.

If you just need the drivers, as STARS said, you can simply go onto the HP website and get all the drivers you need.

The problem is it's a barebones computer, just the mobo and PSU in the case, nothing more. I wanted to just buy some cheap HP restore disk off of eBay for like 20-25 dollars, but I have to order a Vista Business install disk I guess.
 
I agree with John.
Rather get Windows 7 than Windows Vista.It's a LOT better.I am not saying Vista is bad,but if I would need to choose between those two,I would choose Windows 7.Get Vista ONLY if it's a LOT cheaper lol.
 
I'm not using this as my main computer, I'm going to use it to host some game servers, so I don't care about which version I get, I only care about which one I can get cheaper.
