Now that MSI finally fixed the "219 bug" on my motherboard and that I got water cooling, I wanted to try to overclock the PROPER way. However, I'm just curious about this HT Link. Is it bad to overclock it? I read that it's best not to and it won't improve performance anyway BUT... if i set the multiplier to 4x, the system is either unstable or won't post if I increase the BUS above 220...
Right now it's set at 5x and overclocked to 1110mhz. (Normal is 1000) and the system is stable. Bus speed is currently 222mhz and CPU clock speed is 2220mhz (normal is 2000mhz).
So can I just keep overclocking it or is there a risk involved? Thanks in advance!
