well i have to build a home theater pc for somebody for their new lcd TV. they do have an older pc so they want to be able to upgrade it to play some games later on.
i already have a tv tuner card, and the case is up to the guy, so those are to be left out for now.
It has to be small and relatively quite, but the biggest obstacle is the budget of $400.
my idea so far is to get a micro-atx mobo, a cheap single core cpu, 1gb ram, a cheap PCI-E gpu an ati-remote wonder, a micro-atx psu, a 160+ gb hdd and i already have spare 10gb hdd and sound card.
