I posted a similar thread about this not too long ago, but this time it's only hulu. For some reason I can play 1080p youtube videos perfectly, yet even the low quality on hulu is ridiculously choppy (audio is fine). I have tried messing with flash player's hardware acceleration (youtube works great with it on and can't play hd with it off) but it doesn't fix it (hardware acceleration on is slightly better, but not much). The strange things to me are: no matter what the quality is (low or HD) it is just as bad, no difference. The other thing is with HW acceleration on it only uses 30% cpu and 70% GPU. (without HW acceleration it uses 100% cpu and no GPU). I can't figure it out, a lot of people have been having this problem, but none had a solution that worked for me. I usually use chrome, but tried IE and same thing. Everything is up to date.
Gateway e4100, 2.5gb ram, Hyperthreaded 3ghz pentium 4. ATI Radeon HD5450 512mb. Windows 7 ultimate. 6Mbps solid internet (forgot to mention it's not my internet)
My monitor is 1920x1080, but I even tried turning it down to 800x600, and it was still choppy. It also plays 1080p video from my nikon d5100 perfectly. I tried turning the clock all the way up on the graphics card (700mhz) in the Catalyst control center overdrive thing (I think it was originally on 650mhz) and that did nothing, I wouldn't want to push it harder with third party over clocking since its passively cooled and idles at 150F.
Any help would be appreciated!!!!
