Hulu plus plays choppy

I posted a similar thread about this not too long ago, but this time it's only hulu. For some reason I can play 1080p youtube videos perfectly, yet even the low quality on hulu is ridiculously choppy (audio is fine). I have tried messing with flash player's hardware acceleration (youtube works great with it on and can't play hd with it off) but it doesn't fix it (hardware acceleration on is slightly better, but not much). The strange things to me are: no matter what the quality is (low or HD) it is just as bad, no difference. The other thing is with HW acceleration on it only uses 30% cpu and 70% GPU. (without HW acceleration it uses 100% cpu and no GPU). I can't figure it out, a lot of people have been having this problem, but none had a solution that worked for me. I usually use chrome, but tried IE and same thing. Everything is up to date.

Gateway e4100, 2.5gb ram, Hyperthreaded 3ghz pentium 4. ATI Radeon HD5450 512mb. Windows 7 ultimate. 6Mbps solid internet (forgot to mention it's not my internet)

My monitor is 1920x1080, but I even tried turning it down to 800x600, and it was still choppy. It also plays 1080p video from my nikon d5100 perfectly. I tried turning the clock all the way up on the graphics card (700mhz) in the Catalyst control center overdrive thing (I think it was originally on 650mhz) and that did nothing, I wouldn't want to push it harder with third party over clocking since its passively cooled and idles at 150F.

Any help would be appreciated!!!!

What Internet Browser are you using to watch Hulu? Also what is the version of the browser?

Edit: Have you also tried hooking the computer to another good Internet connection other than at your house?

I usually use the latest chrome, but I also tried the latest IE10 and they were the same (mentioned in original post). And The internet isn't the problem, everything else plays hulu fine. it's not buffering, I can wait for the whole thing to load and it still does that. My internet is 6Mb down and .5Mb up. (also mentioned in original post)
I should also mention that flash is also up to date.
Thanks for the thought though!!

I would try removing and reinstalling Flash Player software. You may also want to try removing and re-installing Google Chrome as well.

I tried that, and youtube flash videos play perfectly, at higher quality. I tried the flash built into chrome, I installed adobe's flash on chrome, and that fixed a problem with youtube I was having, but it didn't do anything for hulu.

If the problem still exists, and your sound doesn't follow your choppy video then its almost certainly your CPU isnt up to scatch.

I don't know if it is worth trying to you but you could re-install your entire operating system. That is quite time consuming and I do not know if it is worth the effort to attempt to fix your problem.

yeah, its not worth it, I don't really like hulu anyway haha, I saw a lot of other threads about this, so I guess hulu just doesn't like older processors...
