Hi,
I just looked at the Vista website, and it mentions Hybrid Hard Drives... can someone please explain what a hybrid hard drive is, opposed to a regular hard drive? and how will Vista benefit from it?

Aw sweet About time they start using more flash technology! It's much more reliable too!
Edit - I just read a quick review and they actually seem to plan on using them in laptops to save battery power. Basically only spinning it up when needed, using the flash otherwise.
I am looking forward to the time when we will only have flash HDDs. It will be faster and more reliable. However these HHDs would be a good step forward.
wow finally... i actually mentioned that in another thread http://computerforum.com/showthread.php?t=27438
only the ones i suggested they make would be all flash memory... of course that would cut down on size by ALOT.
yea i wonder how much space each will have, and how fast they will be. also, do you think we can buy them yet? if so, where?
