hypertransport help

I have an AMD Athlone 64 Bit CPU and my motherboard has Hypertransport 3.0

So I kno my CPU talks directly to main memory and it does not have to go to the northbridge.

The cpu and main memory are connected directly and the only thing connected to northbridge is AGP and PCIe still.

So I know my cpu has to go to the northbridge to talk to them I get this.

But what I dont get is the cpu is not connected to the cpu and more by Frontside BUSS it now is Hypertransport.

So what is Hypertransport I now it go faster and has a biger Data Width.

So would I be right that any other 64 Bit CPU that still uses Frontside BUS would send Data to the Northbridge 64 Bits then get 64 Bits back on the same Lines.

But the Hypertransport would send 64 Bits to the Northbridge and get 64 Bits back on 64 Diferant Lines at the same time?????
