I am confused about installing the case fans....

Should the front fans be taking air in, and the rear fans be taking air out? or should both fans be taking air in? Im confused

Depends on the case really, if its a cheaper case with poor airflow, i prefer front and rear blowing in, leaving positive pressure and the power supply to exhaust it, and helps keep dust downsomewhat. If its a better case, then basically you want front to rear, bottom to top airflow.

You can also change fan positions according to your case position.
ex. Monitor on top of case --> Anywhere on the front in/anywhere on the Back out
