Hello, I have been downloading some episodes from an old TV show, but they are in ".AVI" format. The ".AVI" files by default open with RealPlayer, but the video doesn't play. All I get to see is a message that says, "Unable to render video; DX50 decompressor not found." I can hear the video, but I cant see it. I have a screenshot below of what I see. How can I make it viewable?? Please help ASAP. Thanks in advance.. :)

You are apparently missing the needed video codecs in order to display the video portions of that type of file. Have you tried WMP on those at all? You may find another problem there. This is the common problem seen on many players where you need one or more codecs to get a certain file type to play. Or you can download a newer version of RP 10 as well as codecs at Free-Codecs.com :: Download RealPlayer 10.5 Build 6.0.12.1483 : RealPlayer is the all-in-one digital media player that lets you play everything

Thanks

Thanks! :) I Can view it now.. but I cant burn AVI's to DVD-R's.... is do you know if there is any freeware to convert AVI to WMA or MPG?? Thanks so much :)
