I am lost in oc

i tried ocing my computer, the sig tells you the spects.

Al overclocking [Auto]] ---> [Disable]
CPU Frequency [200] ---> what number would be great??? i started +3 [203]... i don't know if i have increased enough?
PCI-Express Voltage [ +1.20V]
Southbridge Over-voltage [Disable]
PEG Link Mode [Auto]
PEF Buffer Length [Auto]

i think i named most of it,,, well what i am interested in is, how much do i increase the CPU Frequency at a time?
+3 or +30? +100? i don't know...

You dont want to touch the PCI-E voltage or the Southbridge voltage. For starters, you should only change the cpu and ram options.

When going from the default, i would go in intervals of ~10. Then once you get to around 240FSB, then i would go in intervals of 3-5. Once it becomes unstable, change the memory speed to 166Mhz.

ok, i have not changed PCI-E voltage or the Southbridge voltage yet...
um, i don't know if i can continue ocing, when my cpu temperature gets as high as 46C...

I would hold off on ocing until you figure out why your temps are so high. If you put it back down to default, do the temps go back down dramatically?

default? what do you mean by that,
well, the temperature has not changed even since i oced my cpu i realized, because now i am just typing things on a forum, and the temperature got back down to 40c witch was the temperature i started with before i oced

dont ask us what number your computer will handle... because nobody knows. every computer is different.
read oc101 and then get back to us... remember go up in steps of 4 or 5mhz at a time... i used to think that was stupid but then i realized that you really do end up somewhere weird... like my video ram handles 1.24ghz just fine, 45 celsius... but if i try 1.25ghz then i start getting artifacts after an hour or less of play... same temps!
